The female figure is a brush and ink drawing on found paper after Francisco Goya's Leave It All to Providence which Goya painted circa 1816-20. The title Pilot Wave is a reference to the de Broglie-Bohm physics concept of a pilot wave underlying particles in the universe that "guides" their motion.
